A concentration is a body of work is:
* Develop a coherent plan of actions or investigation * Unified by an underlying idea that has visual and/or conceptual coherence * Based on your individual interest in a particular visual idea * Focused on a process of investigation, growth, and discovery * Shows the development appropriate for your subject |
A concentration is NOT:
* A collection of works with different intentions * A body of work that simply investigates a medium * A project that takes an extremely long time to complete * A collection of works derived solely from other people’s published photographs |
|
2. SKETCHBOOKThe concentration series is the ultimate task. Students will produce a body of minimum 8 quality sized artworks in the 18 week semester that develops their concept and exploration of media(s). You will need to find and solidify and be embedded for intrinsic motivation to carry you to completion.
